With Wakefield pitching does this mean that the Red Sox have given up on making the playoffs? It Looks to me like at least Francona has given up hopes. Pitching Wakefield over Buchholtz showed me that Francona has waved the white flag calling it a season. I for one have not given up hopes yet.
